Udover pladsforholdene er fordelen ved at placere membranen på cylinderen at man kan udnytte det sidste "blæs" i indsugningstakten til at skylle direkte ind over stemplet. I forbindelse med en afstemt lydpotte giver det en fantastisk effektiv gennemskylning af cylinderen.

Det er ikke mærkeligt at der på nogle motorer anvendes et langt indsugningsmanifold. Heri kan blandingen bringes i resonans og dermed øge effekten yderligere ved givne omdrejningstal.

Der findes faktisk motorer med "både og" indsugning. Min RD500 har fx. membran i de to cylindre, mens de andre to cylindre fødes via membraner i krumtaphusene.

Ja, jeg har fået at vide at en Derby cylinder skulle passe til kreidlerens store pindbolt afstand.
Af derby cylindere ser det også ud som om man kan få nogle rimelig seriøse 50 cc cylindre, self. vandkølet, men så "vand"skeligt kan det heller ikke være at finde en pumpe der løber mod venstre, evt. kan man selv fremstille hus til en lamelpumpe fra en bådmotor.
Pumpen bliver jo næsten nødt til at blive monteret i venstre side.

Jeg har også kigget lidt at på fræse et membran fra en Honda SFX eller Peugeot's scooterserie i siden hvor kreidlerne normalt havde drejeventilindsugning. Jeg ved dog ikke hvad det ender med endnu.
Hvis denne model bliver løsningen er der ikke plads til en innerrotor tænding, men så kan jeg jo bruge den gammeldags batteritænding, hvor det er nok med et sæt platiner.
Derby kittet kræver selvfølgelig lige en anden krumtap med 12Ø stempelpind, og kittet forlanger nok også en udstødning der på nogen vis hører sammen med kittet.

Hvordan passer Derby-kittene egentligt med skyllekanalerne i blokken?

Jeg mangler en bremseplade af den storemodel 160 mm. Og så mangler jeg to funktionelle gaffelben med dertilhørende pakninger/tætningsringe. Delene skal være ok, udseende er ligegyldigt.
Hvor får jeg fat i sådan noget?
